Magnezitovce község a Stolicei hegygerinc alatt fekszik, Jolsvától (Jelšava) északkeletre. A falu 1960-ban keletkezett, Korpáš és Mníšany települések egybevonásával. A régebbi községrész Mníšany, amelynek első említése 1427-ből származik. A falu elnevezése a Dúbrava hegyen végzett magnezitbányászatból ered, amely helyet a község minden részéről jól látni. Mníšanyban látható az 1930-ban épült evangélikus templom. A belső térben értékes barokk berendezés látható – az oltár, a szószék és a keresztelőkút – amelyek a Tisolci régi templomból kerültek ide. A templomtól lejjebb található a község domináns építménye, a 19. század elején épült harangláb. Magnezitovce műszaki jellegű látványossága a vasúti völgyhíd és az alagút, amely a Murányi és a Štítniki völgyet köti össze. A 2. világháború kitörése miatt a vasútvonalat sohasem fejezték be és vonatok sem közlekedtek rajta sohasem. A községben többek között óvoda működik és a lakosság igényeit szolgálja a kultúrház épülete is.

The village Magnezitovce lies under the ridge of Stolické vrchy (hills), to the northeast from Jelšava. It originated in the year 1930 by uniting the villages Kopráš and Mníšany. The oldest part is Mníšany which is the first time mentioned in the year 1427. The name of the village derived from magnesite mining at dominant massive Dúbrava which is seen almost from each place in the village. In Mníšany there is situated an evangelical church from the year 1930. In the interior there are precious baroque elements – altar, pulpit and font that come from the old church in Tisovec. Under the church there stands a dominant of the village, classicistic belfry from the beginning of 19th century. Interest of Magnezitovce is a railway viaduct and tunnel connecting Muránska and Štítnicka valley. Because of the Second World War the track was not fully completed and trains never transferred. Moreover, in the village runs a kindergarten and a community centre that serves the dwellers, too.

Die Gemeinde Magnezitovce liegt unter dem Kamm des Gebirges Stolické vrchy, nordöstlich von Jelšava. Sie enstand 1960 durch Vereinigung der Gemeinden Kopráš und Mníšany. Der Teil Mníšany ist älter, er wird zum ersten Mal im Jahre 1427 erwähnt. Die Benennung der Gemeinde wurde von der Magnesitförderung am dominanten Massiv Dúbrava abgeleitet, das von fast jeder Stelle im Dorf sehbar ist. In Mníšany befindet sich eine evangelische Kirche aus dem Jahre 1930. Im Interieur sind wertvolle Barockelemente – Altar, Kanzel und Taufbecken, die aus einer alten Kirche in Tisovec stammen – zu finden. Unterhalb der Kirche steht die Dominante der Gemeinde, ein klassizistischer Glockenturm aus dem Anfang des 19. Jahrhunderts. Eine andere Sehenswürdigkeit von Magnezitovce ist ein Eisenbahnviadukt und ein Tunnel, die die Täler Muránska und Štítnická verbinden. Wegen des II. Weltkrieges wurde die Strecke nie fertiggebaut und es verkehrten auf ihr auch keine Züge. Im Dorf arbeitet ausserdem ein Kindergarten und den Bürgern dient auch ein Kulturhaus.
